At the end of my last post, I said that I would reveal an element that was as old as the earth itself and at times was considered more valuable than gold. That element is salt. Yep, the same salt the doctors everywhere tell you to stay away from. The salt that your parents warned you about. The salt that is blamed for everything from high blood pressure to bloating and skin afflictions. And since we have listened to this wrong advice from those whom society considers authority figures, our health has, and continues, to suffer. So, let me set the record straight: salt is essential for human life. Salt is integral to our wellness. In fact, salt is the main catalyst that allows us to absorb the water we drink. Salt and water, in tandem, are the driving force behind our Life Force!
Personal Experience
Two years ago when I was suffering from asthma, I found this great book called The ABC of Asthma, Allergies and Lupus: Eradicate Asthma - Now! by Dr. Batmanghelidji. Following the formulas in the book, I cured my asthma in just 2 weeks. Contrast this to the 4 months I had spent going from doctor to doctor: asthma, pulmonary and heart doctors who could do nothing but prescribe steroids and other drugs that did not work.
Salt and Water
Salt and water not only prevent but help to cure asthma. This is great news for the 14 million children who suffer from asthma. According to Dr. Batmanghelidji, asthma is caused by the drought management system of the body. Increased water intake will prevent asthma attacks. Salt is critical to the break up of the mucus plugs in the lungs that obstruct the free flow of air in and out of the air sacs.
Salt is also the conduit that transports water from outside the cell to inside the cell. Without salt, you can drink as much water as you can and still be dehydrated. Without salt to bring the water into the cells, dehydration would persist.
Of course, not all salts are created equal. Lately, I have discovered the tremendous power and advantage of Himalayan Salt. I will introduce this in my next blog.
In the meantime, here is an interesting article I found on wellness and living green called The Green Guide to Wellness. Enjoy and until then, stay well!
